Actually, Let’s Dance is the epitome of happiness (except for Joachim Llambi sometimes…), but there are also sad sides and some deaths in the history of the show! You have to look back a few years, but a surprising number of participants and participants have passed away! Jette Francker-Andreasen died of lung cancer during the dance season in 2012. Her sister, Gitte Haenning (71), was inconsolable and stopped dancing – a shock to family, friends and fans! But Gitta fought and said at the time: “My motto is: The rest of my life will be danced. Right now – and especially for my sister. She wants me to do that too.”
Popular actor Eralp Uzun has been found dead at the age of 31. He took part in Let’s Dance in 2007. His death shocked everyone at the time, especially because it was not finally clarified what the German-Turk died of. “We are grateful that in the days following our still incomprehensible loss, fans and media respected the privacy of the family and my late brother,” his sister said at the time. Another victim was the actor Bernd Herzsprung, shortly before he could start his mother died, he left. Actually, he wanted to dance for her! “I may say one more wish to the camera: Mothers – I dedicated this rumba to you. I love you” – she dies shortly thereafter, and Herzsprung no longer competes.
A few years later, in 2015, two contestants lost a loved one on the show! Actress Beatrice Richter (69) mourned her mother, who died at the proud age of 99. Actor Ralf Bauer (51) also had to say goodbye to his beloved grandmother, who died at the age of 85 – he said in advance that he was dancing for his grandfather Valentin, he cared for his wife at great sacrifice. Let’s hope it stays that way!

In 2013, ex-“Let’s Dance” participant Eralp Uzun died at the age of just 31. The actor was born in Berlin in 1981. He is best known for starring in the cult series “Everybody Loves Jimmy”. In 2007, the actor took part in “Let’s Dance”, where he was eliminated in the first round.
Then, in 2013, the shocking news: Eralp Uzun was found dead in his apartment in Berlin! The relatives of the series star are still silent about the exact cause of death, but his spokesman’s statement suggests suicide. Eralp Uzun was only 31 years old. His family still cares for an apple tree in Görlitzer Park in his memory.
